According to the functions of its components, the central cable water feeder can be divided into four parts: medium conveying part, conductor part, insulation part and connection part
1) The medium conveying part is the hub of the water feeder connecting the drill pipe and the mud pump. It is an important link to convey the flushing medium to the hole bottom.
2) The conductor part is mainly composed of quick plug, copper wire, reducing spring, etc. The conductor part is the core unit of the central cable water feeder and an important node for the orifice monitor to send control signals to the bottom of the hole and receive the measurement signals returned by the bottom probe. Because the downhole MWD directional drilling is generally deep, in order to reduce the attenuation in the process of signal transmission, the central cable device of the water feeder is characterized by small internal resistance.
3) The insulation part is an important unit to isolate the signal transmission conductor from the flushing fluid, and it is also a part of the water feeder with strict sealing requirements. If there is a problem with the sealing of the insulating part of the water feeder, it can lead to serious attenuation of the signal at the bottom of the hole, so that the orifice monitor cannot obtain the measurement signal.
4) The connecting part is the part connected with the central wireline drill pipe in the water. This part also includes the connection of the central wireline device and the connection of the insulating part.
